The Nahanarvali , also known as the Nahavali , the Naha-Narvali , and the Nahanavali , were an ancient Germanic tribe mentioned by the Roman scholar Tacitus in his work Germany .
According to Tacitus, Nahanarvala was one of the five most powerful Lugiev tribes that lived between Odra and Vistula . Tacitus mentions Nakharvalov as the Guardians of the sanctuary of Lugia, a grove dedicated to the twin gods Alcis.
Nahanarvali identified by modern scientists with Siling . Although Tacitus does not mention the Silinges, he claims that the Naharwalis were in the same area where Ptolemy posted the Silinges [1] .
