Olshvang, Valentin Alekseevich

Valentin Alekseevich Olshvang was born on August 19, 1961 in Sverdlovsk (now Yekaterinburg ).
In 1980 he graduated from the Sverdlovsk Art College named after I. D. Shadr (theater and decoration department). He worked as a decorator in the Sverdlovsk Youth Theater .
In 1986 he graduated from VGIK (animation department of the art department, workshop of V.V. Kurchevsky ).
Since 1985, he has been the production designer of animated films in the TO art animation of the Sverdlovsk film studio (he worked in groups of directors O. L. Cherkasova , A. B. Karaev , V. P. Petkevich), and since 1998 has been a director.

In 1997 he graduated from the Higher Courses for Scriptwriters and Directors (Department of Animated Film Directing, workshop of Yu. B. Norshtein ). Works in hand-drawn animation and relocation technique. Production designer for the TV show “Good Night, Kids!” (2000; director Yuri Norshtein).
