Biography
Sisulit was born on November 10, 1945 in the province of Huaphan , Laos . From 1962 to 1969 he studied at the Pedagogical College of the Patriotic Front of Laos.
Later he continued his studies in the Soviet Union , where in 1978 he graduated from the philological faculty of the A. Herzen Leningrad State Pedagogical Institute , and in 1984 received his doctorate from the Academy of Social Sciences under the Central Committee of the CPSU .
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos (1987-1992), Minister of Labor and Social Security of Laos (1993-1996).
He was a member of the National Assembly (from 1997 to 2001 he headed the parliamentary committee on international affairs, from 2001 to 2006 - the chairman of the state planning and investment committee and the energy committee);
Member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the NRLP since 2001.
Deputy Prime Minister of Laos (2001-2016). Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos (2006—2016).
On January 23, 2016, at the 10th congress of the People's Revolutionary Party of Laos , which is the ruling and only political party in the country, he was recommended for the post of prime minister . On April 20, 2016, the candidacy was approved by the deputies of the National Assembly [2] .
On October 5, 2015, he was awarded the Honorary Gold Medal of the Russian Peace Fund “For Peacekeeping and Charitable Activities”.
In addition to her native Lao, she speaks Vietnamese , English and Russian .
