History
The village of Bateevo was founded in 1640 by the Chuvash, who arrived from near Kazan . A total of 3 families arrived. In 1649, the banner (symbol) of the village was approved. At first, it was called New Bateeva. Among the families who arrived here, one had in its composition a man named Bateev.
In 1834 it was part of the Agzegitovo-Pilot Lane ( Sviyazhsky district ).
On 01.01.1858, the village of Bateevo was part of the Chubaevsky society of the Yanikovo-Shorkristinsky volost of the Tsivilsky district and in the village there were 92 men and 94 women.

According to the regulation of 1861, with the reorganization of local self-government bodies, the Arabosin volost is created. The village of Bateevo is included in the Arabosinsky volost.
By December 1865, there were 93 male tax-paying souls, 360 acres of land in Bateevo.
In 1871, there were 47 horses and 26 cows in the village.
At the end of 1893, the number of male revision souls (taxes) was 91 and 271 tithes of comfortable land.
According to 1902, there were 44 yards in Bateevo, 142 men and 143 women.
According to the Tsivilsky district of the Kazan province in 1917, Bateevo was part of the Old Arabosinsky volost.
The documents include the settlement of Bateevo (Patti huttărĕ - Shashkav vizçălkki). After 1931 is not mentioned.
As of 01.01.1936, the village was part of the Chubaevsky village council and in 1930 the Zarya collective farm was organized in the village.
As of May 1, 1981, the village is part of the Chubaevsky village council and as part of the Druzhba collective farm.
Bateevskaya Church
Church of st. Simeon’s relative of God, built at the expense of parishioners in 1897. The church was heated by 3 Dutch stoves. The church was built instead of the old collapsed temple, the construction time of which is unknown. Parish villages: Chubaevo, Big Chaki , Old Sheptakhovo, New Sheptakhovo, Small Chaki, Chashkovo.
Church staff: priest , psalm-reader , deacon . There were 2 zemstvo schools and 3 literacy schools in the parish, in which the parish priest and deacon conducted the Law of God .
The church did not close.
Library
In U89, in 389, 3 libraries were created, and one of them in Bateevo at the Zemstvo school. The library of the Bateevsky school (headed by G.N. Zaitsev) was used by students of the Novo-Imenovskaya, Staro-Arabosinskaya, Chubaevskaya and Kudesner schools.
School
The volost school was opened in 1845. It was maintained at the expense of the rural community. Mentor (teacher) was the local priest Ivan Vozdvizhensky. In 1847, the school was attended by 25 “free-coming” students who often missed classes. In 1850, 11 boys studied. The training was conducted in Russian, but the teacher also used Chuvash, which favorably affected the success of the school.
Zemsky one-set school was opened in 1876. In 1889, 39 boys and 1 girl studied in it. The school was located in its own wooden building, which burned down during a fire in 191, together with the teacher’s house, its garden and apiary.
In 1902, at the expense of the Zemstvo , a solid wooden building was built under a cinder roof on the edge of the village. At the school there were outbuildings, an apartment for the teacher. According to the state, one teacher and one priest worked in it.
In 1902, 42 boys and 8 girls studied.
The school library consisted of three parts and consisted of 281 volumes.
Zemstvo financed the school at the rate of 70 rubles per year.
Archaeological sites
In the area “Purt vyrăn” (Hut place) near the village of Bateevo, two barrow mounds were located.
