Geography
Located in the western part of the city. It is the largest in the territory, population district of the city.

Microdistricts
The area includes planning areas (former settlements included in the city limits): Tyrgan, Ziminka, Shcherbakovsky, Birch Grove, Safonovo. [16]

- Tyrgan - the western strip of buildings - is the largest in terms of territory, population and the most intensively developing at the present time. The main arrays of multi-storey residential buildings and public and cultural facilities are concentrated. The industrial zone includes the enterprises of NPO Razvitie, NPO PShPZ, LLC Korbu, LLC Siberian Tobacco, OJSC Prokopyevsky Yeast Plant, tram park, LLC Domostroitelnaya Kompaniya, car repair plant. In the late 1930s, the City Council was located here [17]
- Birch Grove - the central strip of buildings, low-rise manor buildings. Enterprises: plant LLC “Prokopyevsky RMZ”, OJSC “Prokopyevsky bakery”, LLC “Soft drinks”, OJSC “Hladokombinat”, LLC “Gormolzavod”.
- Safonovo - the western strip of buildings.
- Shcherbakovsky - the western strip of development, mostly low-rise manor. Industrial area.
