Career

Amato Chichiretti started playing football at the Lazio school, but in 2004 he moved to the Roma academy, with whom he became the youth champion of Italy (U-17) in the 2009/10 season [2] .

In 2012, Chichiretti was leased to Carrarese , who played in the Premier Division of the Professional League , for which he spent 19 matches in the 2012/13 season. The following year, Chichiretti, on loan, played for the L'Aquila team in the same league, where he made a couple of strikers along with another Roma pupil Marco Frediani [3] .

After a brief period at Pistoiese , Chichiretti played for Messina in 2015, having played 21 matches and scored 3 goals.

In 2015, Chichiretti moved to Benevento , with whom he won one of the three groups of the Professional League of the 2015/16 season , scoring six goals in 31 matches, and thereby helped the team play in Serie B for the first time in history. On August 27, 2016, Chichiretti made his debut in Serie B, scoring the team’s historic first goal in this division in the match against SPAL (2-0) [4] . At the end of the same season, the “witches” won the playoffs and sensationally reached Serie A.

On August 20, 2017, Chichiretti made his debut at the highest level, leaving the main team in the away match against Sampdoria . In the 15th minute of this match, he scored his first goal in Serie A, which also became the first for Benevento in Serie A.

In January 2019, Chichiretti transferred on loan to Ascoli.
