Biography
Beatrice was born on February 27, 1995 in San Pedro de Macoris . Her parents are Kenya Candelario and Augusto Piron. At the age of 18, the athlete already had a daughter, Jamilka [1] ( Spanish: Yamilka ). Beatrice also has aunt Guillermina Candelario , who is also involved in weightlifting and is a medalist at the Pan American Games .
Career
The weightlifter participated in two Olympic Games. In 2012, in London she took ninth place in her weight category (up to 48 kg) with a total of 167 kilograms. Four years later, she greatly improved her results and even fought for medals, but could not win them. Having lifted 85 kilograms in the jerk and in the clean and jerk 102 kilograms, the Dominican woman took fourth place in total with a total result of 187 kilograms.
In addition to Olympic successes, Beatrice won a bronze medal at the Pan American Games in Toronto with a score of 175 kilograms.
On August 20, 2017, she won the Universiade silver medal in Taipei City . Beatrice Piron lifted 188 kilograms (85 in a jerk and 103 in a jerk).
