Appearance
The shell of the vesicular fiza is small, left-handed, rounded ovoid, very thin-walled, brittle, transparent, light horny or yellow. In a live snail, the shell is laterally covered by lobate processes of the mantle edge (tongues of the mantle). The surface of the shell is smooth, with a dull silky sheen. Curl dull, consisting of 3-4 turns. The first 3 turns are very low, the last turn is high and very convex. The curl is 2–4 times shorter than the mouth. The columellar lapel is wide, with a noticeable columellar fold that covers the navel. The seam between the turns is quite deep. The aperture is simple, elongated oval, almost not cut, its height is not less than 0.8 of the height of the shell. The free edge of it is straight, sharp.
Nutrition
Snails mainly eat plant foods in the form of living plants, diatoms and green algae, plant detritus. A small part of their diet can be animal food and bacteria.
Reproduction
Hermaphrodite . The physical life cycle of a physician is one-year: juveniles appear in late summer and autumn, winter, in spring, adult snails grow from it, which begin to breed in late spring and early summer. Ambient temperature is a key factor affecting the temporal characteristics of the life cycle in a particular region. The laying of eggs looks like a small sausage attached to aquatic plants, underwater objects or glass in an aquarium. At a water temperature of 18-24, the duration of embryo development is 12-14 days.
Breath
Like other pulmonary mollusks, the vesicular fiza breathes lightly, but skin respiration also plays an important role with the help of the mantle, the edge of which is divided into lobes and wrapped in a shell. This increases the contact area of the mantle with oxygen-saturated water many times.
