Verification plate - metal, stone, composite, plastic plate with normalized (no worse) flatness , surface cleanliness, stiffness, contact wear resistance:
- designed to control the accuracy of the part, mechanism;
- a calibration plate can be used as an adjustment plate - combining accuracy control and fine adjustment - mechanism settings;
- it is used as an installation - base surface for a measuring instrument (s) when measuring and verifying parts and mechanisms that are usually also installed - are based on the calibration plate itself;
- used as a model surface for scraping .
The most expensive and accurate are calibration, reference, precision plates made of semiprecious stone or precious metals, alloys. The precision calibration plate is located in a thermostatically controlled room.
In Russia
In the USSR and Russia there is a standard GOST 10905-86 "Testing and marking plates. Technical conditions. ” [1] and Recommendations for the control of measuring instruments MI 2007-89“ Testing and marking plates. Verification procedure. ” [2] .
Plate sizes range from 250 × 250 mm to 2500 × 1600 mm. Depending on the material, the method of surface treatment and design features for the plates indicate the execution number, from 1 to 5. Since the plates are a means of measurement, they are assigned accuracy classes . Slabs are manufactured with accuracy classes 000, 00, 0, 1, 2, or 3. Used slabs may also be assigned precision classes 4 and 5.
For each class, the deviation of the working surface from the plane and the roughness of the working surface are normalized. For some versions, the quality of processing and the perpendicularity of the side surfaces are also standardized.
