Paul John Hollywood ( born Paul March 1, 1966 ) is a British chef, cookbook author, and television presenter.

Biography
Born March 1, 1966 in Wallace (county of Cheshire ) in the family of the bakery owner John F. Hollywood and his wife Gillian Harman [1] [2] . Grandfather Paula was also a baker and worked at the Adelphi hotel in Liverpool [3] .
Paul attended Mosslands High School. Upon graduation, he entered the local art school, where he studied the craft of the sculptor. But soon this bored him, and Hollywood decided to devote himself to cooking. First, he worked in his father’s bakery in York, and then in other branches of Merseyside [4] . Working in the field of bakery and confectionery, he earned a good reputation in the UK. In the end, he became the main baker in some of the country's elite hotels. He spent several years in the resorts of Cyprus [5] .
Hollywood-made Roquefort and Almond Sourdough bread is officially recognized by the National Bakers Association as the most expensive in the UK. Its price is 20 times higher than the price of ordinary bread [6] . Paul keeps the recipe in the strictest confidence, but it is known that only the highest grades of flour are taken into production, no food additives are used. One of the components is French Roquefort cheese, also includes almonds . Paul himself says that he perfectly understands that bread should be cheap by default, but he could not resist creating his culinary masterpiece.
Television
Paul Hollywood collaborates with BBC One and ITV [3] . Since 2010, along with the idol of British housewives Mary Barry he is the judge of the Great British Bake Off cooking show on the BBC [7] . The program is a huge success and has been repeatedly awarded various television awards, including the BAFTA TV Award .
Personal life
In 1998, Paul Hollywood married Cyprus with Alexandra, who took her husband's name. Alexandra "Alex" Hollywood is also known for her culinary skills. The couple has a son, Josh (born 2001).
