About the album
The album was recorded in March 2012 in Calgary , in the studio of Ched VanGaalen, who produced the album. [12] Graham Walsh from Holy Fuck and John Agello, who previously worked on music by Patti Smith , Sonic Youth , Alice Cooper and many others, also worked on the album and mixing it. [13]
The album received positive reviews from music critics. Thus, the Rolling Stone music magazine, in its review, called the album “an indie pop miracle,” and later added it to the list of “50 Best Albums of 2014”. [14] [15] The album also hit the list of "50 Best Albums of 2014" from the music edition of NME . [sixteen]
The singles “Adult Diversion” and “Archie, Marry Me” attracted the most attention to the group and the album. The latter became the group’s most popular single and took 11th place in the list of “50 best songs of 2014” from Rolling Stone [17] .

For the cover of the album, a photograph of National Geographic full-time photographers Helen and Frank Schrader was used. The picture shows Tehran schoolgirls in January 1968 . [18]
