Svetlana Sergeevna Cherkasova (born May 20, 1978 in Belogorsk ) is a Russian athlete, an international master of sports in Russia , a coach of the Russian national modern pentathlon team.

Biography
Born in the city of Belogorsk. Parents - Tatyana Andrianovna, mother of Belokurov, lives in Belogorsk. Father - Sergey Belokurov, died in 2004 from cancer. Svetlana has a younger brother Dmitry.
She began to engage in athletics in the city of Belogorsk in a sports school. The first coach, Irina Spiridonova , studied with Svetlana for 2 years, after which she went on maternity leave. The second coach Sergey Lukyanchuk who was the main mentor. After leaving school in 1996, she went to study in Khabarovsk , where her coach was Alexander Ivarovsky . There she met her future husband, Alexei Cherkasov (master of sports in high jump 2.20). They got married in 1997 . My husband and I moved to Novocheboksarsk for a year at the invitation of coach Zygismund Otto Borisovich.
She trained with Styrkina Svetlana Pavlovna from 1998 to 2003, she became a master of sports in 1999 and 2000 in the summer a master of sports of international class. In 2001, she won the Russian championship in 800 m. At 400 m, the personal record was 51.86. At 1500 4.03.5
In the fall of 2003, she transferred to another coach, Matvey Telyatnikov . She studied at the pedagogical institute of Khabarovsk, from where she was transferred to the Academy of Physical Culture as a trainer-teacher at the Far Eastern Federal University of Civil Aviation and successfully completed it in 2005 [1] .
