Vasily Anatolyevich Prudnikov (born February 19, 1968 ) is a Russian photographer , photojournalist , publisher, curator of photo exhibitions, author and director of the RUSSIAN PRESS PHOTO cultural project. Member of the Union of Journalists of the Russian Federation ( 2014 ).

Biography
Born February 19, 1968 in Vitebsk ( Belarus ). He graduated from the 10th grade of Vitebsk secondary school No. 27. In 1986 he graduated from SPTU No. 19 with a degree in Photographer with honors.
In 1986 - 1988 he served in the Soviet Army as part of the Northern Group of Forces ( NDP ).
After graduating from the Sovetsky Film School in Sovetsk in 1992, specializing in the operation of cinema-video equipment and television equipment, he began working in the specialty in the advertising industry, where he worked until 2004 .
From 2004 to 2007 - Head of the Digital Department of Photopro LLC in Moscow .
In 2009 he completed courses at the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University. Lomonosov , specializing in Photojournalism.
Cultural project RUSS PRESS PHOTO
In 2010, V. A. Prudnikov created the autonomous non-profit organization “Cultural Project RUSS PRESS PHOTO” to popularize and support the Russian school of photo reporting, highlighting the history and creating an archive of contemporary Russian photojournalism. As part of its activities, the organization holds photo exhibitions, publishes photo albums, organizes seminars and creative meetings with legendary photojournalists [1] .
The organization of the exhibition project “GRAND PRIX IN RUSSIAN. Photos of Russian and Soviet winners of the World Press Photo 1955—2017 contest. ” The exhibition was shown in seventeen cities of Russia , as well as in the USA , Holland , and Slovakia [2] . According to the results of the exhibition, a catalog was released that brought together all the demonstrated works. In 2014, V. A. Prudnikov was awarded the Golden Eye of Russia national award by the Union of Russian Journalists for this project.
The creator and rector of the first educational institution in the field of photography in Russia - the Institute of Professional and Amateur Photography ( IPLF ), where, in addition to organizing activities, he conducts author's photo courses, including traditional photography. The teaching staff also includes well-known photographers - laureates of prestigious awards, critics and historians of photography: V. Yu. Vyatkin , S.V. Shakhidzhanyan, A.V. Lyskin, I.N. Chmyryova and others.
Community Activities
V. A. Prudnikov participates in social and charitable projects. He is the curator of the photo direction in the largest in Russia creative charity project “Generation M”; develops and conducts a socially significant project for children “Photowheel” [3] ; participated in the preparation of photojournalism shifts at the Seliger All-Russian Youth Forum, as well as at the annual Infopotok Media School at the All-Union rally of young Russian journalists [4] .
Creator and curator of the International Festival of Photography "PhotoCrock" named after Sigismund Yurkovsky in Vitebsk [5] .
In 2012, he was thanked by the Minister of Culture of the Chelyabinsk Region for his high professionalism and great personal contribution to the organization and holding of festival events.
In 2015, he was awarded an honorary diploma of the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War of Moscow for his active participation in the preparation and conduct of the photo exhibition “To Remember” and his contribution to the patriotic education of citizens of the Russian Federation.
2017 - laureate of the prize of the all-Russian creative charity project “ Generation M ” for active assistance in the development of children's talents [6] [7] .
