CMC International is an American independent label founded by Tom Lipsky in 1991. He focused mainly on hard rock and heavy metal . The label was a haven for many hard rock, arena rock , glam metal and AOR artists at a time when all major labels had invested all their finances in grunge and alternative rock artists. In 1995, CMC began a partnership with BMG Entertainment, which in 1999 was owned by most companies, and founder Tom Lipsky held a minority stake.
