Elections to the Legislative Assembly of the Tver Region (2016)

The election of deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Tver region of the sixth convocation was held in the Tver region on September 18, 2016 on a single voting day , simultaneously with the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation and the election of the governor of the Tver region . Elections were held according to a mixed electoral system : of 40 deputies, 20 were elected by party lists ( proportional system ), the other 20 - in single-mandate constituencies ( majority system ). In order to get into the legislative assembly according to the proportional system, the parties must overcome the 5% barrier . The term of office of deputies is five years.
