Construction History
The original name of the small missile ship of project 22800 Mytishchi - Hurricane - was given in honor of the lead patrol ship of the same name project , the first combat surface ship designed and built by the Soviet shipbuilders after the October Revolution [2] . The ship was laid down on December 24, 2015 under serial number 251, together with Typhoon RTOs at the Pella Leningrad Shipbuilding Plant OJSC in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Yuri Borisov [3] . It is built taking into account the import substitution policy, in particular, the engine for Mytishchi was produced at the Zvezda factory in St. Petersburg [4] .
Launched solemnly on the eve of the day of the Navy on July 29, 2017 in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Yuri Borisov . Buildings afloat [1] .
The transfer to the fleet was planned for December 12, 2018 [5] , but then was postponed to December 17.
Design Features
Mytishchi and Sovetsk, the first two representatives of project 22800, do not carry specialized anti-aircraft weapons , instead of which two AK-630M control units are supposed to be used. Starting from the third ship, instead of the latter, an armor-and -missile system "Shell-M" [6] [7] will be installed on the RTOs instead of the latter. The ship uses a power plant based on three M-507 D-1 diesel engines and three Russian-made DGAS-315 diesel generators [8] .
