The WWE NXT Women's Champion (eng. NXT Women's Champion ) is a women's professional wrestling champion title created and promoted by WWE on the NXT brand. This is one of the three female titles of WWE, along with the women's title of SmackDown and the women's title of Raw . It was approved on April 5, 2013. The first champion was Paige , winning Emma in the final of the tournament.

The first NXT champion among women, Page with the first design of the title, which existed from May 30, 2013 to April 1, 2017.

The title was submitted on April 5, 2013 at WrestleMania Axxess . On May 30, 2013, on the NXT records, Stephanie McMan announced a tournament between four divas of the main WWE roster and four of the NXT preparatory site, the winner of the tournament will be crowned as the first NXT champion among women [1] . The first champion was Paige after defeating Emma in the final tournament [2] .

On February 24, 2014, on the NXT Arrival, Page successfully defended the title from Emma, ​​but on April 24 of the same year, NXT's then general manager John "Bradshaw" Layfield deprived the champion of the title, after she won on RAW on April 7, 2014 and won WWE champion title among Div . After that, Paige switched to the main roster. After that, the tournament was appointed for the vacant title, in the final of which Charlotte and Natalia met at NXT TakeOver . The winner and the new champion was Charlotte .

On October 7, 2015, at the main event of NXT TakeOver: Respect , the first in the history of WWE 30-minute Iron Woman bout for the NXT women's champion title between champion Bailey and challenger Sasha Banks took place. Bailey came out victorious from this fight, having won with a score of 3: 2 [3] .

On April 1, 2017, at WrestleMania Axxess, the general manager of NXT, William Rigal, announced that all the championship titles of this brand will change their designs. On that very day, NXT TakeOver: Orlando Asuka successfully defended the championship from Amber Moon , after which she was awarded a new title design [4] .
