Biography

He graduated from the Naval Cadet Corps with production on September 14, 1899 with the rank of midshipman . As a junior artillery officer of the Victory squadron squadron battleship, he participated in the defense of Port Arthur. In 1904 he was promoted to lieutenant .

In 1906-1907 he served as a senior officer on the Abrek mine cruiser. In 1907 he graduated from the Artillery Officer Class. In 1908-1909 he served as a senior artillery officer on the cruiser Admiral Makarov. In 1909-1911 he studied at the Naval Department of the Nikolaev Maritime Academy. In 1912 he graduated from the Additional course of the Nikolaev Maritime Academy. On December 6, 1912, he was promoted to Captain of the 2nd rank with the approval of the senior officer of the cruiser Admiral Makarov.

He commanded destroyers "Easy" (1914) and "Siberian shooter" (1915-16). July 30, 1916 promoted to captain of the 1st rank. On August 3, 1916 he was appointed head of the 4th division of the destroyers of the Baltic Fleet. On January 23, 1917, he was appointed head of the 1st division of destroyers of the Baltic Fleet.

From 1917 to 1918 he commanded the battleship Sevastopol . He assisted the rebels in Kronstadt . In Finland, he headed the organization “Marine Emigrant Officers”.
