Corsican disc-speaking frog [1] ( Discoglossus montalentii ) - a species of frogs from the genus of disc-speaking frogs (also Alytidae ). The range includes only Corsica . The frog prefers the central, mountainous part of this island belonging to France. It lives in the altitude range 300–1900 m. Typical habitats are mountain forests adjacent to water, standing or flowing. It feeds on small invertebrates. It is very similar to Discoglossus sardus (Sardinian disco-speaking frog) - they were recognized as different species only at the end of the 20th century. In Corsica, they live in the same places, but the Corsican disco-speaking frog is considered a more mountainous species. The sound it makes can be transmitted as poop-poup-poup [2] [3] .
