Facade of the center

The design of the center’s building was developed by architects Jürgen Johner ( German: Jürgen Johner ) and Florian Marti ( fr. Florian Marti ) from the architectural bureau Herzog and de Meron [3] . Due to financial difficulties, the initial project of 1993 was repeatedly revised after 1999 until the start of construction in 2001 [2] . The construction was completed in 2004 [3] .

The 32-meter, eight-story building resembling in terms of an amoeba or Aalto vase has a glass facade covered with a pattern of Arabic , Latin and Cyrillic alphabets [2] [4] [5] . Visually, it resembles a castle and, occupying a low hill above the road, creates an architectural dominant in the complex of campus buildings [6] .

The architectural solution of the building uses energy-saving technologies, including double glazing of the facade, sunscreens, the use of vertical temperature stratification of air and other solutions, including selective printing of letters on glass depending on the required direction of light [4] .

The color scheme of the interior is made for columns and floor coverings in yellow, light green, purple, raspberry and dark blue colors, the ceiling is made of silver, and the furniture is white [2] .
