Biography
Until 1981, he studied philology, literature, and medieval studies at the University of Turin . graduated from graduate school at the Higher Normal School in Pisa .
Since 1984, a research fellow at the University of Rome Tor Vergata .
A historian specializing in military history and medieval history.
In 1998, he became an associate professor of medieval history at the Faculty of Humanities and Philosophy at the University of Eastern Piedmont at Vercelli . Since 2004 - an ordinary professor at the university.
Creativity
A. Barbero is the author of essays and novels. One of his most famous books, “The Battle. The New History of Waterloo ”(2006). Collaborates with Storica magazine and the daily newspapers La Stampa and Il Sole 24 Ore . Since 2007, he is an expert in historical rites and costumes at the RAI television station.
He is a member of the board and jury of the Grinzane Cavour Prize , a member of the editorial committee of Storica magazine
