Economy of Peru

Peru is an agro-industrial country. The basic sectors of the economy are mining and non-ferrous metallurgy, agriculture and tourism. Agriculture

Agriculture provides 8.5% of GDP. The main consumer crops are potatoes (3.2 million tons), barley and corn, and industrial crops are cotton and sugarcane. An important role in agricultural Cocoa beans (25.6 thousand tons) and coffee (169.4 thousand tons) are played.
