Count Hirohide Fushimi ( 伏 見 博 英 Fusimi Hirohide , October 4, 1912 - August 26, 1943) is a Japanese naval officer, a representative of one of the younger branches of the Japanese imperial family . Killed in attendance during the Second World War.

Biography
Born under the name Prince Hirohide (博 英 王). The fourth (youngest) son of the fleet admiral , Prince Fushimi Hiroyasu (1875–1946), the 23rd head of the house of Fushimi-no-miya (1923-1946). The older brothers are the princes Fushimi Hirooshi , Kate Hirotada and the Marquis Kate Hironobu .
In October 1932, Prince Hiroheide sat in the House of Peers of Japan . On April 1, 1936, by order of Emperor Hirohito, Prince Fushimi Hirohide refused the status of imperial prince and received the title of count (hakushyaku) with the right to create his own kind.
He graduated from the 62nd class of the Military Academy of the Imperial Navy of Japan . Hirohide decided to pursue a military career and rose to the rank of lieutenant commander . On August 21, 1943, Count Fushimi Hirohide died while in military service. His plane was shot down over Boni Bay, off the island of Sulawesi in Indonesia .
His grave is in the Aoyama cemetery in Tokyo .
Marriages and children
The first wife (since 1936) is Tomoko Yanagisawa (October 29, 1917 - November 14, 1939), the youngest daughter of Count Yasutsugu Yanagisawa. Three daughters:
- Fushimi Motoko (born August 11, 1937), husband - Domoto Taizo;
- Fushimi Kazuko (born December 1, 1938);
- Fushimi Junko (died in infancy).
The second wife (since 1942) is Sadako Kuroda (born June 1, 1915), the only daughter of Baron Nagatoshi Kuroda. The spouses had one daughter:
- Fushimi Yoshiko (born June 7, 1943), her husband is Ino Kodzou (born January 1, 1941).
