Appearance

In the spatial and structural respect, the building is based on the traditions of academism , the design is made in the Serbian-Byzantine style. [3] [4] Functional foundations with the use of mostly uncomplicated architectural composition, and the emphasis placed on the decoration of the corner of the building with a characteristic dome . The facade is asymmetric, with a shallow risalit of greater width in one part of the structure and wide window openings occupying most of the facade wall. The magnificent shallow relief decoration, almost not extending beyond the surface of the facade, is made up of stylized motifs adopted from the heritage of the Serbian-Moravian school (sockets, interlacing sinuous elements, geometric motifs, chess fields). The building is not only a successful work of the Serbian-Byzantine style in Belgrade architecture and an important piece of art by one of the main supporters of this style, but also a representative building of a specific purpose, testifying to the development of telephone services in Serbia at the beginning of the 20th century . Knowledge was depicted on a note in denominations of 50,000,000 dinars of the 1993 model. Conservative work was carried out in 1988 .
