History
Stronger was Sarah Evans' first album in the last 6 years. [10] During this six-year period, Sarah managed to divorce her husband Craig Schelske (in 2007) and marry Jay Barker (2008), they have 7 children: three from her first marriage and another 4 from his [11] [12] [13] .
The song “ A Little Bit Stronger ” was released as a lead single on September 27, 2010 and reached number 1 position on the Billboard Hot Country Songs country chart [14] , for the first time since its last charttopper, “ A Real Fine Place to Start ” (2005) . The second single from the Stronger album, “ My Heart Can't Tell You No ”, was released on June 20, 2011 [15] and reached number 21 in Hot Country Songs in January 2012. The third single “Anywhere” was released on July 23, 2012 [16] .
The album debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums country chart with a circulation of 55,000 copies in the first week of release [17] . By January 2014, the album’s circulation reached 405,000 copies in the United States [18]
