Biography

Bruno Peltier was interested in music from an early age. When the boy was 7 years old, his father gave him a guitar.

In 1983 in Charlebur, he and his friends began performing in the English-language rock bands Amanite and Sneak Preview. He later founds the Pell band, which has a repertoire in French. At the age of 23, he moves to live in Montreal, where he performs in bars. Due to problems with the vocal cords, he is forced to refrain from singing for a while, and then enrolled in singing courses to restore his voice.

At the same time, Bruno is actively involved in sports, gets a black belt in karate and even plans to open his own martial arts school. But in the end, he decides to devote himself to music.

In 1989, he participated in the Rock Envol competition, where he received a prize for the quality of performance. In 1991, he won the role in his first musical, Top View ( Fr. Vue d'en Haut ), staged at the Hot Air Balloons Festival in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu ( FR. Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu ). The following 1992, he joined the Troupe of Rock and Roll ( French Les fous du rockn'roll ) troupe , where he performed in 40 performances.

In October 1992, he released his first solo album, “Bruno Pelletier”, and in November, he joined the musical troupe of Michel Berger and Luc Plamondon, “ The Legend of Jimmy ” ( French La Légende de Jimmy ). Bruno plays the main role - the role of "teenager" Jimmy. He played this role about fifty times.

In 1993, Luc Plamondon again invited Bruno to a role in the musical “ Starmania ”, also co-authored by Michel Berger. Bruno plays the role of Johnny Roquefort about five hundred times.

In the summer of 1994, he participated in the FrancoFolies de La Rochelle festival, where he performed songs written by Luc Plamondon. A little later, he released his second album Defaire l'amour.

In the fall of 1996, Bruno participated in a Saguenay concert, where he performed the song Miserere. It was this song that brought him success in Quebec. His album "Miserere", released in 1997, becomes a hit. Also at that time, Bruno could be seen in the TV series Omerta 2, where he plays a cameo role of Michel Bergevan.

At the same time, Luke Plamondon again invites Bruno to participate in his performance. At first, Bruno disagrees - the singer was on a solo tour - but then he nevertheless joins the troupe of the new musical Luke Plamondon and Riccardo Kochchante ( fr. Richard Cocciante ) Notre Dame de Paris . Bruno brilliantly plays the role of the poet Gringoire, who made him famous outside Quebec.

In 1999, he released his fourth album, D'autres Rives. He continues to play Gringoire, now within the walls of the London Theater in the English-language production of the musical.

Charity

Bruno Peltier is the official representative of the Children's Dreams Charitable Foundation ( Fr. Rêves d'enfants ). In 2001, together with his friend Sylvan Cosset, Bruno recorded the single “À travers toi”, all the proceeds from the sale of which went to the fund.

“Children are so precious. Their smiles illuminate our days ... their laughter sounds like a quiet echo in our ears, and their dreams shape the future ... But when the child is unwell, only faded smiles and disappearing laughter can be seen on his face, and his dreams seem unattainable to him. “Children's Dreams” is a Canadian federal organization that was created to help children with diseases that endanger their lives. It is with the help of organization that these children can finally see how their dreams become reality. We have never said no to a sick child, and with your support we can continue our business. The fulfillment of a child’s dream is wonderful ... and with your help we will become wizards! ”

P. Mancuso, Director, Quebec Dream Group
