Alexander Pavlovich Khanukov (December 18, 1867 - December 4, 1943) - Major General of the Russian Imperial Army ; participant in the Russo-Japanese War , World War I and the Civil War in Ukraine ; Knight of the Order of St. George 4th degree and St. George's weapons . Biography
Born December 18, 1867. By religion - Orthodox . He graduated from the Kherson real school [1] .
In the Russian Imperial Army from October 12, 1887. In 1890 he passed the officer exam at the Mikhailovsky Artillery School and was promoted to second lieutenant with seniority on March 15, 1890. Consistently served in the 4th reserve artillery brigade, Ivangorod and Libava fortress artillery, 22nd artillery brigade. In 1894 he was promoted to lieutenant (seniority since March 15, 1894). July 13, 1897 received the rank of headquarters captain [2] . In 1899 he graduated from the Nikolaev Academy of the General Staff in the 1st category and on June 2, 1899, “for excellent achievements in science,” was promoted to captain [3] . Consisted of the Kiev Military District [1] .
From November 26, 1899 to January 28, 1901, he served as senior adjutant to the headquarters of the 5th Infantry Division . On January 28, 1901 he was appointed senior adjutant to the headquarters of the 9th Army Corps . From October 13, 1901 to October 13, 1902 he served the censored company command in the 166th Rivne Infantry Regiment . On November 16, 1903 he was appointed correcting the post of chief of the combat unit of the headquarters of the Vladivostok fortress . December 6, 1903 received the rank of lieutenant colonel with approval in the identity [1] [4] .
On June 23, 1905 he was appointed corrective of the post of chief of staff of the 15th Infantry Division , with which he took part in the Russo-Japanese War . From May 10 to September 10, 1906 he served the qualification command of a battalion in the 166th Rivne Infantry Regiment. On January 5, 1907 he was approved as chief of staff of the 15th Infantry Division [5] . December 6, 1907 received the rank of colonel [6] . From June 4 to August 1, 1908, to familiarize himself with the features of the service, he was seconded to artillery, and from July 1 to July 27, 1912 - to cavalry [7] . November 22, 1913 he was appointed commander of the 131st Infantry Regiment of Tiraspol , at the head of which he entered the First World War [1] .
On May 19, 1915, the Commander of the 3rd Army of the Order of St. George of the 4th degree was highly approved:

On June 6, 1915, “for differences in matters against the enemy,” he was promoted to major general , with seniority on November 11, 1914, with the remainder of the regiment commander [9] . August 27, 1915 was appointed commander of the brigade of the 31st Infantry Division [10] . From November 13, 1915 to April 20, 1916 he was the chief of staff of the 23rd Army Corps [1] .
November 20, 1915 Highest approved the award of the commander of the 3rd Army of St. George's Arms:
| Because being the commander of the 131st Infantry Regiment of Tiraspol and commanding the vanguard of one regiment, 2 batteries and 1 hundred Cossacks on August 23, 1914, during the whole battle, being under a strong rifle, machine gun and artillery by fire, after a stubborn battle, he captured the crossing near metro Bels, heavily occupied by the superior enemy forces and forced him to hastily retreat [11] . |
From April 20, 1916 to February 18, 1917 - Chief of Staff of the 41st Army Corps . From February 18 to July 20, 1917 he was the commander of the 5th Zaamur border infantry division. July 20, 1917 he was dismissed and appointed to the reserve of ranks at the headquarters of the Kiev military district [1] .
In 1918 he joined the army of the Ukrainian State and received the rank of general badge . In May 1918 he was appointed the Kiev provincial headman. He emigrated to Yugoslavia . He died on December 4, 1943 in the city of Novi Sad [1] . He was buried at the Assumption Cemetery of Novi Sad [12] .
