Geographical position
The village of Pechiny is located on the Oka-Don Plain on the left bank of the Tsna River near the mouth of the Konsha River, 22.5 km south-east of the city of Shatsk . The distance from the village to the district center Shatsk on the highway is 27 km.
The village is located between the rivers Konshi and Tsna (on the right bank of the Konsha and on the left bank of Tsna). The Konsha River flows along the northern outskirts of the village, to the north-west there is a tract Market Hills and a small river Proval with a pond . To the east of the village the Tsna River flows and the floodplain lakes Staritsa, Ryashtyanevo, Upper and Lower Zaton, Myasserka, Chikmasovo and the largest, Kurlyakirka, are located. Along the southern outskirts of the village passes the border with the Tambov region . The nearest settlements are the village of Tarkhan and the village of Nosiny (Tambov region).

Origin of title
In V. History
In the XIX century, until the abolition of serfdom in 1861 , the village of Pechiny belonged to the noble family of princes Trubetskoy , and was the center of their vast possessions in Shatsky district , numbering 33.5 thousand dessiatinas of land. [5] In 1847, on the initiative and at the expense of the general from cavalry of Prince Peter Ivanovich Trubetskoy (1798 + 1871), the wooden cold Pyatnitskaya church with three altars was built in the village: the main martyr Paraskeva, called Friday, and marginal - in the name of the holy martyrs Flora and Laurus and St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.
By 1911, according to A. E. Andrievsky , the clergy of the Trinity Church, according to the state, consisted of a priest, deacon and psalm reader. The clergy had 3.5 dess. manor, 68 dess. arable convenient and 34 dess. uncomfortable under the ravines of the earth, 2-5 versts from the church. The land gave an annual income of 400 rubles. The nearby village of Tarkhan was also part of the parish of the Pyatnitskaya church in the village of Pechina.
By 1911, according to A. E. Andrievsky , there were 370 households in the village of Pechiny, in which there were 1308 male and 1541 female females. In addition to the Pyatnitskaya Church (completely destroyed during the Soviet era), the village had a single-class mixed parochial and two-class mixed Zemsky schools and a small church library of 50 volumes. [6]
In the Soviet period, in 1931, the Land of Soviets collective farm , one of the foremost in the Ryazan region, was organized in the village of Pechiny. Collective farmers developed arable farming, planted a large orchard, organized a farm of horses, cattle, sheep, pigs and geese. In the pre-war years, the collective farm "Country of the Soviets" for its success in the production of agricultural products was repeatedly recorded on the regional Hall of Fame. [five]
