Biography

Elena Pavlovna Shishirina was born on April 3, 1960 in Tula [1] . In 1981 she graduated from the Moscow Technical College of Physical Education and Sports [2] .

The first coach was V. Lupanov. Then she trained under the guidance of her future husband, Boris Rabai. She played for the Tula sports club "Arsenal". Multiple winner of the World and European Championships. In 1996 at the Olympic Games in Atlanta took 19th place in the qualification of the double-ladder.

She worked as a trainer in the NGO Tulachermet [3] . Since 2006 she has been working in the Russian national team: at first she was the head coach, and now she is the head coach of the team [4] . She also worked as a trainer-instructor in trap shooting at the Novosibirsk Center for Higher Sportsmanship [5] .

The highest achievements among her pupils reached:

  • Olga Panarina is a two-time world champion (2009, 2010).
  • Catherine Rabay - European Champion 2017, winner of the World and European Championships [6] .
