The elections of deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Leningrad Region of the sixth convocation were held in the Leningrad Region on September 18, 2016 on a single voting day , simultaneously with the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation . The elections were held according to a mixed electoral system : out of 50 deputies, 25 were elected by party lists ( proportional system ), the remaining 25 [1] - in single-mandate constituencies ( majority system ). In order to get into the legislative assembly according to the proportional system, the parties must overcome the 5% barrier . The term of office of deputies is five years.

- On June 14, the Legislative Assembly of the Leningrad Region scheduled the elections on September 18, 2016 (single voting day). [3]

- On June 15, the Election Commission of the Leningrad Region approved a calendar plan of measures for the preparation and conduct of elections. [four]
