Vyacheslav Viktorovich Arkhipov (born January 20, 1946 , Ufa ) is a Soviet and Russian judo coach. Honored Coach of the USSR and Russia.

Biography
Vyacheslav Viktorovich Arkhipov was born on January 20, 1946 in Ufa in the family of railwayman Viktor Fedorovich Arkhipov and Valentina Solomonovna Gegechkori. Here, the future coach first became interested in sports and was engaged in cross-country skiing and ice skating. In 1958, Vyacheslav's father was transferred to work in Kuibyshev . In 1960, the whole family moved to the city. Here Vyacheslav Viktorovich took up the Greco-Roman struggle . And in 1961 he switched to sambo wrestling and trained with Nikolai Fedorovich Petrov . Subsequently, sambo and judo became the work of his life [1] . He graduated from the Institute of Physical Culture, however, due to a serious injury, he was forced to end his career as a wrestler and become a judo and sambo coach at the Dynamo Sports School in Kuibyshev [2] .
He began training in 1965. The first master of sports for the young coach appeared in 1975 - he was Yuri Shevtsov. Other successful students followed: Yuri Plekhanov, champion of the USSR among juniors; Andrey Shkapin, champion of the USSR among young men; 1991 world judo champion Sergey Kosorotov [1] ; World Judo Champion Tagir Khaibulaev [3] . In just over 45 years of coaching career, Vyacheslav Arkhipov trained several thousand wrestlers. More than 20 of his former students subsequently themselves became trainers [1] .
In 2008, Vyacheslav Viktorovich was awarded an honorary diploma of the Samara Provincial Duma [4] .
