The son of Amagnier VI and his first wife Assalida de Tarte.

He was forced to yield to the British Millau (1255).

The first wife is Viana de Gonto. She divorced Amanye VI on the basis that his father was her godfather. From her - at least two children, including:

  • Anna (d. After December 1, 1287).

The second wife (wedding between 1257 and 1259) - Mata de Bordeaux (d. Not earlier than 1281), daughter of Pierre de Bordeaux, Captalia de Bouche, widow of Ekel-Gelem II, Senor de Lesparre. Children:

  • Bernard Ezi III (d. 24 December 1280), seigneur d'Albre
  • Amagnier VIII (d. 1324), seigneur d'Albre from 1294
  • Arno Amagnoe
  • Mata (b. 1262/1270, d. After 1281)
  • Arno Amagnoe, died in childhood
  • Assalida (d. No earlier than 1286), husband - Santul III , Count d'Astarac
