Content

History

Sloboda Grodovka founded in the late XVII century Zaporizhzhya Cossacks.

At the beginning of the 20th century, it was the village of Bakhmut uyezd of the Ekaterinoslav province , the population was 5,700 people [2] .

In 1959, the population was 5,966 inhabitants [3] , in 1970 - 3,740 inhabitants [4] , 1979 - 3,322 inhabitants [5] , in 1989 - 3,206 inhabitants [6] .

As of January 1, 2013, the population was 2,598 [7] .

Economy

There was a brick factory and a mill, now - not working.

Transportation

It is located 5 km from the Donetsk railway station "Grodovka" (on the Pokrovsk - Yasinovataya line , station code 482108).
