Poulsen, Christian (chess player)

Christian Poulsen ( dated. Christian Poulsen , August 16, 1912 , Rind [1] - April 19, 1981 ) - Danish chess player , master. Two-time champion (1945 and 1952) and three-time silver and multiple bronze medalist of the Danish championships . As part of the Danish national team, he participated in one unofficial and five official chess competitions (including on the 1st board).

Biography

Born in a large family. From the age of seven, he and his brothers worked on a parent farm. Because of this, could not get any education.

At a young age he achieved good results in agriculture. Poulsen began to get good yields on the poor soil of Jutland .

He was married to a Swede . The son of a chess player Eivin took the mother's surname: Hallgren ( dat. Øjvin Hallgren ).
