It was concluded on October 30 between Austria and Prussia , on the one hand, and Denmark , on the other. In this world, the Danish king Christian IX ceded all his rights to the duchies of Schleswig , Holstein and Lauenburg to Emperor Franz Joseph and King William I , pledging to recognize in advance all further orders to be made in these countries by both allies.
At the same time, it was reprimanded that the duchies assume 29 million Danish thalers from the total Danish debt and pay military expenses to the allied great powers. The joint ownership of Austria and Prussia due to this treaty was one of the reasons for the clashes that ended with the Austro-Prussian War of 1866.
