Alexander Alexandrovich Karpinsky ( Ukrainian: Oleksandr Oleksandrovich Karpinsky ; 1909 - 1996 ) - Soviet and Ukrainian athlete and coach; Master of Sports of the USSR (1941), Honored Coach of the Ukrainian SSR (1961), judge of the highest category (1958) [1] .

Biography
Born on August 4 ( 17 ), 1909 in Kiev.
In 1957 he graduated from the Kiev Institute of Physical Culture (now the National University of Physical Education and Sports of Ukraine ). In 1969-1983 he was an assistant professor of the department of wrestling and boxing of the same university. He conducted scientific research on the theory and tactics of sports, was the author of several works.
Engaged in coaching. Among his pupils is Trostyansky Vladlen Konstantinovich [2] [3] - the silver medalist of the 1964 Olympic Games in boxing.
He died on August 14, 1996 in Kiev.
Son - Yuri Karpinsky (born 1948) - Ukrainian scientist, doctor of technical sciences, professor [4] .
