Distribution

Europe , Kazakhstan , the Caucasus , Siberia , the Russian Far East, North Korea. Open habitats (meadows and pastures) [2] [3] .

Description

Small ants (workers less than 5 mm). Body color is light brown. Scape and hind tibia without spaced hairs (there is only adjacent pubescence), on the hood and abdomen, spaced hairs are very short. The antennae of females and workers are 12-segmented; in males, they consist of 13 segments. Triangular mandibles with 5-7 cloves on the chewing edge. The mandibular palps consist of 6 segments, and the lower labial palms consist of 4. The stalk between the chest and abdomen is single-segmented ( petiol ) with a vertical scale [3] [2] .
