Biography

Sergey Firsovich Monakov was born in 1897 in St. Petersburg in the family of a stone carver. After graduating from the trade school in 1916, he was drafted into the army, where he served until 1918. In 1917 he studied at the school of ensigns. In 1918-1921 he served in the Red Army . Entered the RCP (b) in February 1919. Since 1921, in the organs of the VChK-OGPU-NKVD.

  • 1921—1926 - authorized and head of the Information Department of the regional transport department of the Cheka, North-West Railway (Petrograd), head of the information department, authorized and senior authorized of the department of the regional transport department of the Cheka - regional transport department of the OGPU (Leningrad), district office of the regional transport department OGPU Warsaw area.
  • 1926 - student of the Central Courses of the Transport Department of the OGPU of the USSR in Moscow.
  • 1926-1930 - authorized, senior authorized by the district transport department of the OGPU in Leningrad.
  • 1930-1934 - Head of the 4th Division, Assistant Head of the Leningrad Regional Transport Department of the OGPU.
  • 1934-1936 - Head of the Road Transport Department of the OGPU East-Siberian Railway, Head of the Road Transport Department of the Main Directorate of the State Security Committee of the NKVD of the East-Siberian Railway, Head of the Transport Department of the UGBV East-Siberian Territory.
  • 1936-1937 - Head of the Transport Department - the 6th Division of the State Security Service of the NKVD, Kursk Region.
  • 1937 - Head of the Road and Transport Department of the NKVD GUGB of the Ashgabat Railway.
  • 1938 - People's Commissar of Internal Affairs of the Turkmen SSR. This period was marked by the entry into the special troika , created by order of the NKVD of the USSR of 30.07.1937 No. 00447 [2] and active participation in the Stalinist repressions [3] .

Final stage

Arrested on September 10, 1938. Sentenced to VNV VKVS USSR February 22, 1939. Shot on the day of sentencing in Ashgabat. In 1999, rehabilitation was denied.
