Biography

Born on December 13, 1949 in the town of Belovo, Kemerovo Region [1] .

In 1971, he graduated from the Mathematics Faculty of the Novosibirsk State University , and in 1976 - graduate school there (the supervisor was Professor V. B. Korotkov) [1] .

In 1977 - defended his thesis, the theme: "Regular integral convolution operators and summability of the Fourier transform of functions of several variables" [1] .

In 1985 he defended his doctoral thesis, the topic: “Integral convolution operators in Lebesgue spaces” [1] .

In 1989, he was awarded the title of professor [2] .

From 1971 to 2005 - he taught at the Khabarovsk Polytechnic Institute [1] .

From 1981 to 2005 - he worked at the Computing Center of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences : scientific secretary, senior researcher, head of the laboratory [2] .

From 2005 to 2015 - Head of the Department of Mathematical Analysis and Theory of Functions of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia [2] .

Since 2015 - Professor of the Department of Nonlinear Analysis and Optimization of RUDN [2] .

In 2000 he was elected Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences [1] .

Scientific Activities

Research interests: the theory of integral and differential operators, harmonic analysis in Euclidean spaces, weight inequalities, duality in function spaces, approximation theory, asymptotic estimates of singular, approximation, and entropy numbers of integral transformations and Schatten-Neumann type estimates [1] .

Major achievements: a theory of integral convolution operators was constructed, criteria for the boundedness and compactness of integral operators in function spaces were obtained, weighted inequalities and the behavior of the approximation numbers of Volterra, Riemann-Liouville, Hardy and other integral operators were studied [1] .

Under his leadership, prepared more than 10 candidates of sciences, 3 doctors of science, 5 PhD in Mathematics in Sweden [1] .
