Life
Nazim Mammadov was born in 1934 in Baku. [one]
In 1957 he graduated from the Azerbaijan State Art College named after Azim Azimzade. In 1961 he graduated from the courses of animated artists at Soyuzmultfilm in Moscow. In 1961, he worked as an animator in the Azerbaijanfilm studio, and since 1970 he also began to work as a director. He also shot the first full-fledged Azerbaijani animated film in 1970 - Bear and Mouse. In 1988, he created the first five-part cartoon Beautiful Fatma in the Republic of Azerbaijan (Azerbaijani language: Goychak Fatma).
Nazim Mammadov died in Baku on October 29, 2004. [2]
In September 2016, an exhibition in memory of Nazim Mammadov opened in the shopping and entertainment center Port-Baku. The exhibition had more than 50 works by Nazim Mammadov. [3]
