Biography

Born in Chisinau in 1968.

He studied at the Sverdlovsk Architectural Institute with a degree in industrial design (1985-1992), while studying at the 4th year, he did an internship in the studio of the world famous designer Luigi Colani , where he participated in work commissioned by companies such as Adidas , Ferrari , Yves Saint Laurent . He defended his diploma in Sverdlovsk on the theme "Design of a Ferrari Testa d'Oro". Then he continued his studies in Switzerland at the Art Center College of Design .

Since 1994, he worked for Citroën (he was an interior designer for the Xantia X2 , C5 models, the C3 Lumiere concept car, C3 Air, C6 Lignage , C4 Volcane, and the author of the Xsara model restyling). Since 2000, he has been a senior designer at Toyota's European design center in Nice , and has contributed to the creation of Yaris , Auris , Corolla , Avensis models and the MTRC and UUV concept cars.

Since February 2005 - an honorary member of the Russian Academy of Arts . [one]

Since 2007 he has been working in Russia; he has created here a multi-industry center for industrial design and innovation ASTRAROSSA Design (its president). One of the first projects of the new studio was the development of the official coloring and corporate identity elements of the new Sukhoi Superjet 100 passenger aircraft of Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company . The design team led by Vladimir Pirozhkov and Andrey Vodianik designed the torch design of the Olympic and Paralympic Torch Relay of the XXII Olympic Winter Games in 2014 in Sochi [3]

Together with RSC Energia, he created a concept model of the returned manned spacecraft Rus, presented at the MAKS.
