Biography

Victor Georgievich Lavrov was born on August 1, 1942.

Since 1989, he was the head of the Stavropol children and youth school of the Olympic reserve in handball.

In 1992, with the direct participation of Lavrov, the Dynamo-Victor Club was founded, which was originally called by his name, then Victor-SKA and Dynamo-Victor. In the team, Viktor Georgievich worked first as a coach, and then as a sports director [1] [2] [3] .

From 2000 to 2012, he worked as the head coach of the Russian men's national beach handball team [4] [5] .

He died in a car accident on July 31, 2017 on the highway Labinsk - Maykop [6] [7] [8] .

The highest results among the pupils of Lavrov reached:
