Biography
Born in Morley into an Irish family. From 1952 to 1955 he studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. He played a lot in the theater, engaged in the production of Shakespearean works. In cinema, Brian is known for his role as Clyde Tolson in the 1994 Nixon movie and the voice acting by Robin Hood in the 1973 Disney movie of the same name . In 1971 he received the Tony Award . Winner of the "Drama Desk" award.
The actor was an open homosexual . In 1985, he began living with actor Tim MacDonald, with whom he lived until the end of his life (three years before his death, in 2013, they officially registered their marriage).
He died of cancer on January 13, 2016 at the age of 80.
