Gameplay
Two sides are available in the game: dark and light. Typical units are available in each of them - warrior, archer, mage, air units - and more powerful individual characters. The campaigns are divided into 13 missions, of which 10 are battles, and the other three are dungeons for hero characters. [1] Multiplayer is also available, battles with other players take place using the Wargate.Net server. [one]
Story
The action of Kingdom Under Fire takes place in a fantasy setting in the lands of Bersia. The plot consists in the opposition of the forces of Light (on the side of which people, gnomes and elves) and the forces of Darkness (orcs, ogres, undead and other characters). [1] One hundred years before the events of the game, a great war broke out between the two sides, the end of which was put by the Knights of Wrath, who defeated the forces of evil and returned the world to Bersia. [2]
Ratings
The game received mixed or neutral reviews on Metacritic and GameRankings , including both very high and extremely low ratings from critics. [3] Heroic missions were compared with similar ones from the Blizzard Diablo series in favor of the latter. Some reviewers claimed that the complexity of the game is too high, the units are poorly balanced, and the artificial intelligence is not perfect. The graphics of the game were marked as “good” or “satisfactory” ( isometric graphics were used in the game), and the soundtrack and plot were highly appreciated by critics. [1] [2] [4]
