Yakiniku
Yakiniku (焼 き 肉 or 焼 肉) is a Japanese term that means grilled dishes, literally translated as "fried meat." In a restaurant specializing in yakinik, guests are usually served raw ingredients that guests cook on their own on a special grill built into the table, a few pieces at a time. The ingredients are then dipped in a sauce called tare and eaten. Usually this sauce consists of Japanese soy sauce mixed with sake , mirin , sugar, garlic, fruit juice and sesame seeds.
Typical ingredients include: beef, pork, chicken, seafood (squid, shrimp), vegetables (bell peppers, carrots, shiitake mushrooms , onions, eggplant).
