History
According to the famous publicist and local historian A. Yu. Chernov , executed Decembrists were buried on Honoropulo Island in 1826.
For a long time the island remained undeveloped. At the beginning of the 20th century , one of the channels of the Malaya Neva was bombarded, and the island of Honoropulo was annexed to the island of Golodai (now the island of the Decembrists ). In the 1920s, the southwestern part of the former island of Honoropulo was included in the territory of the Marxist leather factory, and in 1953 the rest of it was built up by car repair shops, which were later merged into the Experimental Automobile Repair Plant in 1960.
Today, Uralskaya Street passes through the territory of the former island.
