Biography
Marina Alekseevna Titok was born on February 4, 1959 in Minsk.
In 1981 she graduated with honors from the Belarusian State University with a degree in genetics .
Since 1981, she worked as a senior laboratory assistant and junior researcher in the biochemical genetics of bacteria sector at the Research Laboratory of Experimental Biology of the Belarusian State University .
From 1991 she worked as an assistant, then as an assistant professor in the department of genetics, from 2005 - professor in the department of genetics, from 2009 - professor in the department of microbiology of the BSU .
In 1991 she defended her thesis.
In 1997 he was awarded the academic title of associate professor .
The scientific degree of the doctor of biological sciences was awarded in 2005.
The academic title of professor was awarded in 2007.
Pedagogical activity
Marina Alekseevna Titok delivers lectures on the following courses: "Vector systems", "Basics of molecular biology ", "Genetics of microorganisms ", "extrachromosomal genetic structures of bacteria ", "molecular aspects of evolution ". Conducts laboratory and practical classes in the course "Basics of Cell Molecular Biology "
Scientific Activities
His research interests are the study of the molecular genetic organization of the extrachromosomal genetic elements of gram-positive and gram - negative bacteria , including those ensuring the survival of microorganisms in extreme environmental conditions ( antibiotics , xenobiotics ); molecular genetic engineering of strains producing biologically active compounds (solvents, insecticidal toxins, antimicrobial compounds); creation of vector systems for molecular cloning in cells of gram-positive and gram - negative bacteria ; physiological-biochemical and molecular-genetic analysis of bacteria- destructors of oil isolated from extreme natural sources ( Belarus , Libya , Iraq , Antarctica ).
He has 194 scientific and educational works, including 1 monograph , 1 textbook, 122 articles, 3 patents of the Republic of Belarus and 1 copyright certificate for an invention. She prepared 3 candidates of sciences and 9 masters .
M.A. For 9 years Titok has been a member and then deputy chairman of the WAC expert. Currently a member of two Doctoral Theses Defense Councils and two Academic Councils.
