Vladimir Yakovlevich Grigoriev (born April 8, 1929 , Kanash ) is a Soviet and Russian ski and biathlon coach . Honored coach of the RSFSR (1970). Freeman of the city of Kanash (1997).

Biography
Vladimir Yakovlevich Grigoriev was born on April 8, 1929 in the city of Kanash of the Chuvash Republic. He studied in high school number 2. In 1950 he graduated from Kanashsky College of Finance and Economics [1] . In 1954 he graduated from the Red Banner Military Institute of Physical Culture and Sports. V.I. Lenin in Leningrad.
Has the first category in several sports. Champion of Chuvashia and Volga region in biathlon [2] [3] [4] .
After the end of his sports career he began working as a coach. From 1964 to 2003 he was the director of the Kanashsky City Sports School. He also worked as a biathlon trainer in the Canash Youth Sports School. V.P. Voronkov [5] .
He brought up more than 40 masters of sports of the USSR in cross-country skiing and biathlon, the highest results among which were achieved by Vladimir Voronkov - the Olympic champion of 1972, the world champion of 1970, the multiple champion of the USSR [6] .
Since 1962 he has been married to skier Dina Fedorovna Grigorieva (Skvortsova) [7] . There is a daughter - Hope [8] .
