Origin
Quintus Granius belonged to a plebeian family associated with the city of Puteoli , and in the time of the Late Republic it became part of the Roman senatorial estate. Plutarch calls one of the Grani — either Quintus or Gnei — the adopted son of Gaius Maria [1] ; however, there is no information in the sources that Julia before Maria was married to someone from Grani .
Biography
Quintus Granius is mentioned in the sources in connection with the events of 88 BC. e. The enemy of Guy, Maria Lucius Cornelius Sulla , rebelled against the Republic, occupied Rome and outlawed thirteen people led by Mary. Among them was Quintus Granius [2] . The latter managed to escape. Either he or his relative Gnei accompanied Mary on his flight to Africa [3] . The fate of Quintus Granius is not known.
