Sant Agnese in Agone - the titular church was created by Pope Leo X on July 6, 1517 , when, during the Consistory of July 1, 1517, the number of cardinals increased significantly. The titular diaconia was abolished by Pope Innocent XI on October 5, 1654 and was transferred to the titular church of Sant Agnese fuori le Mura .
In 1998, Pope John Paul II restored titular deaconess. The titular diaconia belongs to the baroque basilica of Sant'Annese in Agone , located in the region of Rome Parion , on Piazza Navona .
